PVT Charles Curtis Whitfield entered the US Army from Kinston, North
Carolina. He served with the 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam from October
10, 1965 until he was
killed on February 24, 1966 His name is located at panel 05E, line 75 of the Vietnam
Memorial in Washington, D.C.
