Entered service on 15 January 1942 and was released from service 10 October 1945. He was captured in February, 1943 and held as a prisoner of war by the Germans at Stalag 7A and then at Stalag 2B. He was a POW for 848 days. Honored by Elizabeth Hobbs Howard, Kim Hobbs Lane and Grayling Hobbs.
