Radioman 3rd Class Sylvester L. Brown was born at Kinston, North Carolina on May
11, 1948. He served in
the US Navy until he died by accidental homicide on October 13, 1968. He was
assigned at Camp Tien Sha, NAVSUPACT, Danang, South Vietnam. On the Vietnam Memorial in
Washington, D. C., his name can be located on panel 41W, line 56.
His awards include the National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal
and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
